The Embassy of Hungary hosted its National Day Reception at the newly opened The REACH at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts on Monday, October 21 to commemorate the 63rd Anniversary of the 1956 Hungarian Revolution and Freedom Fight and celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the Restoration of Democracy in Hungary.

Hungary Initiatives Foundation Presents Bence Szepesi's Solo Clarinet Recital
The Hungary Initiatives Foundation (HIF) presents Bence Szepesi's Solo Clarinet Recital at the American University’s Katzen Arts Center, Abramson Family Hall on Sunday, October 27, 2019, 3:00 pm. The program will include pieces by Béla Bartók, Leó Weiner, Robert Schumann, Johannes Brahms, Carl Maria von Weber, Ennio Morricone and Gioacchino Rossini.

West Virginia and Hungary sign agreement to enhance economic relationship
On September 24, Gov. Jim Justice and other West Virginia officials hosted cabinet dignitaries from Hungary, including Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Péter Szijjártó, for a ceremony at the State Capitol, where the leaders signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that will bolster economic relations between West Virginia and Hungary.
